Bishop Creighton Academy

Autumn leaves

After a week off school we have come back to hundreds of leaves in the outdoor area!

We are well and truly into autumn now. The leaves have been turning from green to lovely autumnal colours and over the half term break many of the leaves have dropped onto the floor. This week the children have made the most of the leaves exploring them in different ways such as ;

*Throwing them into the air and watching them fall back down

*Sweeping them into a large pile

*Kicking them into the air and listening to the sounds the leaves make

*Counting leaves

*Sorting into colours

We will be sweeping them into large piles ready for Mr Hooker to put into the compost bins so that we can use them in our academy vegetable patches.
