This week, we took part in Roald Dahl day. Roald Dahl day is a global celebration of the world's number one storyteller, his beloved stories and unforgettable characters. The special day happens on September 13th, the author's birthday.
We focused our learning on the Enormous Crocodile. We read the story all together as a class. We then decided to use our art skills to create paintings of the Enormous Crocodile, focusing on his large beady eyes and his sharp teeth. We made sure that our paintings where accurate just like the illustration on the front of the book. After that, we labelled our pictures using our phonics to help us with our spelling.
In the afternoon, we decided to celebrate Roald Dahl’s birthday! We made party hats by designing blank templates. We then focused on our fine motor skills whilst we cut out our party hats very neatly.
