On Wednesday the 1st of November six Year 6 pupils were chosen to represent BCA in a wreath making competition at Dogsthorpe Academy.

The children learnt about poppy wreaths. In Richmond, London there is a wreath making factory, in which veterans from world war two make poppy wreaths to commemorate the fallen soldiers. These are then sent all around the world to be laid at rememberance day ceremonies and services.

Three schools, us, Dogsthorpe and Welland Academy were given poppies and asked to create a wreath. Two wreaths from each academy went through to the final, these will then be displayed in the Town Hall. The Mayor of Peterborough will then judge and select the winning wreath, this will then be laid at the World War Memorial statue on Bridge Street at the Rememberance Service on Saturday the 11th of November.

Nicola and Daniela were the creators of the chosen wreaths from BCA, we look forward to hearing the final result!
