Walk to school week!
Today was the start of the five day walking challenge.
Today, Year 5 began were introduced to Walk to School Week, a national campaign held every year. It encourages parents and children to leave the car at home and take the chance to get outside and get fit by walking to and from school.
Every year, the Walk to School campaign brings together nearly one million schoolchildren, teachers and parents. Walking to school offers many different health benefits which we will be discussing later on in the week.
Today 26 children in Year 5 walked to school, what a brilliant start, we also began working on our activity diaries!
Who can complete the challenge by walking everyday this week? Good luck Year 5!
