A snowy world book day!
Wow! What a busy week we have had in the academy!!
Plenty of exciting news for you all this week. We've had such a busy time I don't even know quite where to start!
The Beast from the East comes to Bishop Creighton
I would be lying if I said this week hasn't been exciting. As I'm sure you're all acutely aware, Peterborough and the surrounding area has been a little chilly lately. Cold blasts from the East have run amok, causing havok in the local area. Despite this, 4MD made sure to set a little time aside to put our coats and wellies on and venture out into the snow. A welcome break from studying so hard!
Story workshops in partnership with Kerboodle
As well as being cold, this week has also been Book Week at BCA! We have spent the whole week on various book-y activities. We've read the story "Varjak Paw" in class, we've been to our in-school book fair, we've been given a free book AND we took part in a story workshop, run by the lovely people at Kerboodle. Phew! What a lot of activities. Through drama, we read, explored and acted out some scenes from a totally new story. It was great fun!
The Big World Book Day Animal Takeover!
But of course, a world book day just wouldn't be complete without dressing up as a character from a book! This year, our theme was "animals from stories" and we saw some incredible costumes. Mr Dean came as the Fantastic Mr Fox and was a judge in a whole school competition. It was really tough to choose the best costume, but at the end of the day our owl "Hedwig" just clinched the victory with a fabulous home-made costume. Who do you think had the best costume?
