Gung Hay Fat Choy!

Friday 31st January is Chinese New Year and we have been celebrating this all week!
This week we have been learning about Chinese New Year. We have taken part in lots of different activities and have been very busy making Chinese lanterns and dragon puppets,
learnt about Chinese writing and had a go at writing our own names. We made aChinese dragon and took part in our very own dragon dance! We learnt a new song and played different instruments to accompany it. We were superb at remembering the words!
Today (Friday) we had a very special snack time where we tasted noodles, lychees, seaweed, prawn crackers and fortune cookies. It was yummy!
We have had such a fantastic time taking part in all of this!
"I like orange, apples and noodles to eat." said Elizabeth.
"I liked the seaweed I ate it all up!" said Skye.
"I was writing tricky words in Chinese." said Michelle.
"I was the dragon head in the dance, it was so funny." said Zakir.
