Circus Fun
Today the children learnt new skills from the circus.
Today the circus came to Bishop Creighton Academy. The children were really excited and loved the assembly where they were shown the different pieces of equipment they would learn to use.
During the workshop they learnt how to spin plates, juggle, balance the flower stick, spin the ribbons and spin the diablo. The children worked hard to improve their skills and there was a lot of laughter and fun in the hall. They all had an amazing time and persevered at the different activities.
This is what the children had to say
"I kept trying and trying but I couldn't do it. Then I tried one more time and I did it. I was very proud of myself."
"Today has been really fun"
"I was surprised how heavy the flower sticks were, but it was easy to balance and spin them"
"I was really excited. I have never been to a circus before and I would like this to happen again next year. I really, really loved it"
"I thought spinning the plates would be really hard, but it was actually ok. I started spinning it and then I spun it on my finger"
"The ribbons were fun because I made creative, swirly designs. It was fun"
