The super brown bears, have been looking at time this week.

To begin the week we were looking at what a clock looks like. We had a chat about the hands and what jobs they did!

We then were able to tell the time to the hour, we were using the little clocks to be mini investigators and try and make different times. The children noticed that when it is 'o' clock' the hand is always on the 12!

Towards the end of the week, the children were learning 'half past' and were telling me when it was time for their phonics lessons at half past ten!

It has been lovely seeing the children so enthused and excited about telling the time at different parts of the school day.

At home please would you be encouraging your children to recognise when it is 'o clock' and 'half past'
