Purple Medals and Big Smiles!

A group of pupils selected from Year 3 and 4 attended a Youth Dreams Project Multi-skills sports event at St John Fisher School. They competed against three other school in a range of events, including; Speed Bounce, Standing Jump, Javelin, Accuracy Throw, Sprint, and a Long Distance Run. They looked incredibly smart, and tried their best! They came second overall and they won both of their benchball games! Congratulations Year 3 and 4!
On Thursday the 21st of April a group of pupils selected from Year 3 and 4 attended a Youth Dreams Project Multi-skills sports event at St John Fisher School. They competed against three other school in a range of events, including; Speed Bounce, Standing Jump, Javelin, Accuracy Throw, Sprint, and a Long Distance Run. We all walked to St John Fisher (1.2 miles!) so we were all warmed up by the time we arrived. When we entered the huge sports hall we were the first school there, so we had a little bit of time to practice some of the events! When all of the other competing schools had arrived, the children were split into groups and each child attempted each event. The purple PE kits looked incredibly smart and stood out from the crowd! All the children tried their best, and finished second overall! Here are some of the indivudual results:

Kosta - 1 MIN 46 LONG DISTANCE RUN 
 
Lewis - 1 MIN 19 LONG DISTANCE RUN 
 
Hannah - 1 MIN 28 LONG DISTANCE RUN 
 
Awat - 2ND IN STANDING JUMP OVERALL
 
Harry - 1ST IN HIS GROUP FOR SPEED BOUNCE
 
Daniela -  1ST IN ACCURACY THROWN IN HER GROUP
 
Daniela -   1ST IN HER GROUP FOR DISTANCE AND JAVELIN THROW
 
 
Before the results were revealed the schools came togother to play Bench Ball, BCA won both of their games, and worked extremely well together! The team came second overall and they were awarded very special medals! Congratulations Year 3 and 4! I am really proud of the effort, behaviour and team work I witnessed! Well done to you all!
