Autumn Walk

Today we went on a walk around the academy looking for signs of autumn.

We all dressed up in our waterproofs and wellies before heading outside. Searching around the perimeter fence, we managed to find lots of different leaves in beautiful shades of yellow, orange and brown. The children enjoyed kicking the leaves and listening to the sounds they made. We managed to collect several bags of leaves to use during the week for our learning activities. We then went onto the field and went off in search of conkers. To our delight our large horse chestnut tree had already dropped the majority of its conkers on the floor for us to find. We had great fun trying to find the biggest and shiniest conkers!
