This week, Year 5 have been lucky enough to take part in the Humanutopia heroes program. Humanutopia want to create a human paradise or environment where everyone gets along.

We recapped what we did in the last session and we elaborated on some of these to recap our memories.

At the start of this session we learnt that we will become heroes by the end of the course. To achieve this we must learn about the journey of a hero and what we need to do to in order to change.  Did you know that there are 32 different skills and strengths we could all achieve? As a group we discussed our strengths and weakness. To have a weakness isn’t a bad thing, it’s actually a good thing because no one is perfect and everyone has something they can learn from.

We also learnt that there are three different types of zones.  These three zones are: comfort, stretch and panic. Most people stay within their comfort zone. What have you done recently to get yourself out of your comfort zone?

Next we learnt all about ‘Radio Me’. This is basically your inner voice. It is the voice in your mind that tells you positive or negative things about yourself. It’s really easy to listen to the negative thought. It’s your job to tune into the positive and turn down the negative. What is your Radio me telling you right now?

To test our new role model and leadership skills we worked with year 2 and year 3. Take a look at our photo gallery to see how we did.
